Getting Started

Welcome to BISC 002

This course combines Genetics, Human Genetics, Evolution and Ecology. It is an introductory course for non-science majors, and it is hoped that you will develop a basic understanding of genetic and biological terms and their importance to our technologically advanced society. Evolution is a central theme of biology and it helps us to understand the process of life that is ongoing all across our globe. The interactions among members of that global community provide the backdrop for understanding the ecology of our planet and our place in that community.

This course will involve students studying a weekly lesson or two, and then completing quizzes and homework assignments. We will also use the Penn State Angel system.
